I. Equipment Overview

1. Function (Principle) Introduction
This apparatus is specifically engineered for the formation of polymer battery cells under elevated temperature and pressure. It facilitates the creation of a denser SEI film, ensures more comprehensive capacity activation, and improves capacity uniformity. With support for high-current charging, it accelerates the formation process and streamlines the overall battery production timeline.
The integrated system consists of an 8-channel formation cabinet and a parallel-configured fixture. The fixture incorporates 4 layers of heating and pressing plates, interfaced with 8 channels of 5V6A output. The fixture and cabinet are seamlessly combined into a compact unit, providing a total of 8 operational channels.

2. Main Functions

The equipment comprises: temperature control system, over/under-temperature alarm system, over/under-voltage alarm system, pressure control system, formation cabinet system, and fixture mechanism.
It features layer-independent temperature control, pressure regulation, charge/discharge functions, overcharge/overdischarge protection, stable tab-to-contact connection, data communication, data storage after process completion, voltage grading post-charging, capacity grading post-discharging, and smoke alarm.

6. Operation Process:

Open cabinet door → Place battery → Close cabinet door → Set parameters → Fixture clamps → Start heating → Start formation → Formation completes → Fixture releases → Open cabinet door → Remove battery

III. Main Software Functions

1. Working modes: constant current charging, constant current/voltage charging, constant current discharging, rest, and cycling; cut-off conditions: voltage, time, final current, and final capacity.

2. Formation steps can resume from power failure, manual pause, software shutdown, communication failure, and abnormal stop.

3. All step curves and test data per battery are saved; current and historical data can be viewed per channel in data or curve format; Excel export supported for single/batch and auto export after completion.

4. Multiple inspection interfaces: graphical, summary data, categorized data, abnormal indicators.

5. Step protections for voltage, current, temperature, and pressure with alarm alerts.

6. Minimum PC configuration: PII/300 CPU, ≥2GB RAM, ≥250GB HDD, EGA/VGA display, mouse & keyboard, Windows 7 or above, one USB serial port, one network port.

Operation software provided; user supplies the PC.
